The Cognitive Processing Therapy group at the FSU Psychology Clinic is an evidence-based treatment to address trauma symptoms related to actual or threatened sexual assault or sexual abuse.
Group dialectical behavior therapy is available at the FSU Psychology Clinic for individuals ages 18 and older who struggle with intense emotions or distress, interpersonal problems, impulsive behaviors or suicidal and/or self-injurious urges or behaviors.
The FSU Psychology Clinic offers group telehealth treatment for adults who engage in hoarding and have difficulty discarding items. Evidence-based skills to decrease acquiring and increase discarding will be developed.
The Teen Emotion Skills Training group helps pre-teens and teens develop emotion regulation, distress tolerance and interpersonal skills. If your teen struggles with impulsive or reckless behavior, self-injury or suicide related thoughts or behaviors, or difficulties getting along with others, the therapists at the FSU Psychology Clinic can help. Please note: This group is not for teens whose difficulties are related primarily to autism spectrum disorder.
If you have a child struggling with misbehavior, defiance or opposition, or if you as a parent or caregiver struggle to implement effective discipline, the FSU Psychology Clinic therapists can help! This 12-week group teaches parents effective strategies for managing behavior at home, school and in public places.
