Teach abroad with International Programs in 2026! Florida State University International Programs is proud to offer the opportunity to teach abroad. This incredible experience allows faculty members to immerse themselves in foreign cultures, engage their students in hands-on learning experiences and gain personal and professional rewards from their time abroad. Applications are available on the IP Website until Jan. 22, 2025.

The Department of Art History is hosting an Indigenous film screening, featuring a film by acclaimed Indigenous filmmaker Alanis Obomsawin. The event will include a Q&A session with Dr. Andrew Frank and Professor Grace Ali, offering a unique opportunity to engage in a thoughtful discussion on Indigenous perspectives in film.

The FSU Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) K12 program is accepting pre-applications from emerging faculty committed to conducting translational research. This award will support selected Scholars for at least two years with 75% salary support, up to $90,000, and over $22,500 for research and training.

Community Engaged Research Partnership Award

Applications are now open for the Community Engaged Research Partnership Award to recognize and support tenured mid-career and senior faculty at FSU who are committed to research collaborations with community partners. Applications for this pilot program must be submitted by Friday, Dec. 20, 2024.

Join the College of Social Work for a virtual panel on "Support and Advocacy with Native American and Indigenous Populations" from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 13 to celebrate Native American Heritage Month. This event is part of the Courageous Conversations event series, which explores social issues through discussions with FSU alumni.

Parent Strategies Group for Child Behavior Problems

If you have a child struggling with misbehavior, defiance or opposition, or if you as a parent or caregiver struggle to implement effective discipline, the FSU Psychology Clinic therapists can help. This 12-week group teaches parents effective strategies for managing behavior at home, school and in public places.

Group Treatment for Teens with Impulsive Behavior, Intense Emotions, & Interpersonal Problems

The Teen Emotion Skills Training groups help pre-teens and teens develop emotion regulation, distress tolerance and interpersonal skills. If your teen struggles with impulsive or reckless behavior, self-injury or suicide-related thoughts or behaviors or difficulties getting along with others, the therapists at the FSU Psychology Clinic can help.
