The Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) group at the FSU Psychology Clinic is an evidence-based treatment to address trauma symptoms related to actual or threatened sexual assault or sexual abuse.
The Teen Emotion Skills Training groups help pre-teens and teens develop emotion regulation, distress tolerance and interpersonal skills. If your teen struggles with impulsive or reckless behavior, self-injury or suicide related thoughts or behaviors, or difficulties getting along with others, the therapists at the FSU Psychology Clinic can help. Please note: This group is not for teens whose difficulties are related primarily to autism spectrum disorder.
If you have a child struggling with misbehavior, defiance or opposition, or if you as a parent or caregiver struggle to implement effective discipline, the FSU Psychology Clinic therapists can help. This 12-week group teaches parents effective strategies for managing behavior at home, school and in public places.
