The Department of Art History is hosting an Indigenous film screening, featuring a film by acclaimed Indigenous filmmaker Alanis Obomsawin. The event will include a Q&A session with Dr. Andrew Frank and Professor Grace Ali, offering a unique opportunity to engage in a thoughtful discussion on Indigenous perspectives in film.

The FSU Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) K12 program is accepting pre-applications from emerging faculty committed to conducting translational research. This award will support selected Scholars for at least two years with 75% salary support, up to $90,000, and over $22,500 for research and training.
Applications are now open for the Community Engaged Research Partnership Award to recognize and support tenured mid-career and senior faculty at FSU who are committed to research collaborations with community partners. Applications for this pilot program must be submitted by Friday, Dec. 20.

This event is part of the Courageous Conversations event series, which explores social issues through discussions with FSU alumni.

This 12-week group teaches parents effective strategies for managing behavior at home, school and in public places.
The Teen Emotion Skills Training groups help pre-teens and teens develop emotion regulation, distress tolerance and interpersonal skills. If your teen struggles with impulsive or reckless behavior, self-injury or suicide-related thoughts or behaviors or difficulties getting along with others, the therapists at the FSU Psychology Clinic can help.
The annual Homecoming Parade, organized by the Student Alumni Association, will begin at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22. The parade has a new route this year and will head north out of the Civic Center parking lot along Macomb St., turn west along College Avenue, then south onto Copeland Street. Bert Kreischer (B.A. ’98), a stand-up comedian, actor and podcaster, will serve as grand marshal. The parade features the Marching Chiefs, FSU cheerleaders and floats made by student organizations.
