Zora Neale Hurston Speaker Series

FSU has partnered with FAMU to welcome Dr. E. Patrick Johnson to campus. Dr. Johnson is an accomplished scholar/artist who has published widely in the areas of race, gender, sexuality and performance. On Feb. 22 from 6 - 8 p.m., Dr. Johnson will read from his newest book, "Honeypot: Black Southern Women Who Love Women," as well as "Black. Queer. Southern. Women. — An Oral History". Milton S. Carothers Faculty Lecture Series

Dr. Lakeisha Johnson, Assistant Professor Communication Science and Disorders, will talk on "Literacy and Justice for All: Cultural Considerations for Diverse Readers" on Feb. 15 at noon in Strozier Library.

Faculty Fellows

Faculty are invited to join the first Faculty Fellows Initiative event this spring. Designed by Faculty Fellows Aimée Boutin, Shanna Daniels, and Lindsay Jenkins, "The Myths and Realities of Work/Life Balance" event will be a conversation among peers. Three FSU professors will share their expertise and personal experience about creating and maintaining this balance and then participants will have time to engage both each other and the presenters.
