PIE Teaching Workshops

PIE's Coffee Hour & Teaching Workshop Series is providing two separate but related upcoming workshops on proctored testing and alternative assessments. During the workshop on Thursday, June 10, speakers from FSU’s Office of Distance of Learning will discuss and demonstrate the testing tool Honorlock, and tips for ensuring online academic integrity. On Friday, June 11, the Director of the Center for the Advancement of Teaching will address alternative methods to online proctored assessment.

Webinar Co-Occurring Disorders with Substance Use Disorders, June 11, 2021 at 10:30 am and Q and A at 12 pm

This program is part of an ongoing FSU series on substance use disorders funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and focuses on identifying the major disorders that co-occur synergistically with substance use disorders. Using a developmental perspective, eight major disorders are described along with treatment suggestions.

Want to learn about creating and implementing a diversity statement for your program, organization or department? Join us for DIRECTO’s third annual Diversity & Inclusion in Research & Teaching Spring Conversation Series. The event is free of charge and will be held virtually via Zoom from 11:45 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Friday, May 21. The topic of this event will be crafting diversity statements for organizations, departments, and/or programs. All faculty, postdocs, students, staff, alumni and members of the surrounding community are welcome to attend. Bring your program or organization diversity statement to the event!
