An innovative web-based interactive training entitled "Resiliency Behind the Badge: How to Understand and Manage the Impact of Exposure to Violence and Suffering While on Duty" was developed by the Florida State University Institute for Justice Research and Development with partners at the Florida Sheriffs Association. The training is designed to help law enforcement officers recognize the physical and mental indicators of traumatic stress.
A new online training series, "How to Build Funding, Evaluation, and an Evidence Base for Nonprofits", was created by five members of the faculty and staff at the Florida State University Institute for Justice Research and Development to strengthen and scale nonprofits while demystifying research. The series is tailored to nonprofit administrators, their staff and board members.
The Program for Instructional Excellence (PIE) will continue offering its year-round series of workshops virtually. Workshops are open to anyone wanting to learn how to create the optimal learning environment for students.
