Call for Nominations for the MLK Distinguished Service Award

The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Distinguished Service Award was established in 1986 to honor a faculty member, administrator or staff member for their outstanding service in keeping with the principles and ideals of Dr. King. While the award is a tremendous honor, it also carries a $1,000 stipend for the recipients. Nominations must be submitted by noon on Monday, Dec. 16.

Join Counseling & Psychological Services from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 2 on Landis Green. We will have activities, games, and coping strategies available to help relieve some of the stress and anxiety associated with preparing for finals.

Art Call for Interlocking Art, A Multi-Media Gala in Spring 2025.

Artists are invited to submit their work for the 2025 multi-media gala, Interlocking Art, by Monday, Jan. 13. The gala, themed “Simplicity vs. Extravagance: The Spectrum of Self Expression,” will feature a $250 scholarship for one selected piece. The main event will take place on Sunday, Feb. 23.

Dr. Sandra Brooke - Deep Sea Corals Lecture

Join us for the final lecture of 2024 featuring Sandra Brooke. The event is free and open to the public, with no registration required and refreshments provided. The lecture will take place at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5.

FSU College of Social Work

FSU College of Social Work fall 2024 graduates and their guests are invited to join us for our Fall Graduation Event from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13 at the Student Union Ballrooms. The event will include a formal event and a reception to follow. Graduates are required to wear regalia to participate. Students will be provided with six tickets for their guests. Registration is required.

HSF Excellence in the Arts

This year's HSF Excellence in the Visual Arts Exhibition Awards is a great chance for students to showcase their artistic talent and have their work displayed in the Honors, Scholars, and Fellows House on the FSU campus for a year. To be eligible, applicants must be currently enrolled students in good academic standing, with applications due by Friday, Feb. 14.
