This message has been approved by Tony Archer, Director of Marketing, Branding and Creative Services, for distribution to students, faculty and staff.
Florida State University and the Knight Creative Communities Institute (KCCI) are issuing a call to artists to propose designs for an asphalt art pilot project with the goal of enhancing pedestrian and bicycle safety on campus.
Artists are invited to submit original designs to be featured at the intersection and/or crosswalks at Tully Gym at the intersection of Chieftain Way and Spirit Way. Artists may propose designs for both sites with a coherent theme that translates across both areas, which are located within 100 feet of each other. Artists must submit an application and a high-resolution digital image of the proposed design by July 30, 2023. Digital images of all types of media will be accepted, except for video or performance art.
Submission of original designs is limited to FSU students, faculty, staff, and alumni. There is no application fee. The winning design(s) will be installed at no cost to the winning artist(s). For a full list of design requirements and to participate, visit fla.st/8MVXRUQ7.
