CERV Search & Rescue Training

We've all see search parties in TV shows and movies. Have you ever wondered how groups actually search for missing people in real life? Join Campus Emergency Response Volunteers (CERV) to learn how to conduct a search and rescue mission from trained professionals! After a classroom training, participants will be organized and sent into a field to look for simulated "victims" and practice the different learned techniques.
When: Saturday, April 8. 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Where: Innovation Park (Exact location will be provided after registration)
What to Wear/Bring: Wear CLOSED-TOE SHOES and comfortable clothing for walking outdoors, and possibly searching around bushes and other shrubs. Bring a reusable water bottle, and a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, etc. in case of a sunny day.
LUNCH AND WATER WILL BE PROVIDED! Don't have transportation to the training site? Don't worry! Transportation will be organized (limited seating available. Email Aisling Carr for details, ascarr@fsu.edu).
