This message has been approved by Paul Eugenio, chair of the Department of Physics, for distribution to all students, faculty and staff..
The Florida State University Physics Department will host the 2023 Dirac Lectures from Feb. 15 – 17 on FSU’s campus.
This year’s lectures are dedicated to the topic of effective field theories and their impact on a variety of fields from nuclear and particle physics to gravity. The lectures will be held in person, but a livestream of the events will be available.
Speakers are:
Zvi Bern, University of California, Los Angeles
Yuval Grossman, Cornell University
David Kaplan, University of Washington
The Dirac Lectures are an initiative of the Department of Physics at Florida State University to celebrate the memory of Paul Dirac, late FSU Physics faculty member, Nobel Prize laureate and namesake of the Dirac Science Library at FSU. These lectures bring outstanding speakers to FSU to present physics topics of particular interest and notability.
