Open Forum with Deirdra Chester

The College of Health and Human Sciences is pleased to host alumna Deirdra Chester, Ph.D., RDN, for an open forum on Friday, November 18 at 3 p.m. in the Durell Peaden Auditorium at the FSU College of Medicine. The event will also be available virtually via Zoom.

Chester is the Division Director of the Division of Nutrition, Institute of Food Safety and Nutrition, within the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Prior to her current role, she served as agency science advisor for the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service and was also the national program leader for applied nutrition research. She is a two-time graduate of the FSU College of Health and Human Sciences and is a recipient of the college's Circle of Excellence Alumni Award.

The forum is open to those interested in learning about the USDA's funded research, applying for USDA-funded grants, and how FSU constituents may better position themselves to compete for USDA funding.
