Torchbearer 100: Apply now to be Recognized for the 2022-23 School Year
Alice Maxwell
Each year the Division of Student Affairs is proud to recognize 100 of the most outstanding undergraduate leaders and achievers across campus who, during their time at Florida State, have built upon our tradition of exceptional student life. The Torchbearer100 are a diverse array of students, linked by the magnitude of their impact within their realm of influence. The yearly Torchbearer 100 Celebration seeks to bring these student accomplishments out of their silos and honor them at the university level.
Student applications for this prestigious honor are open until Friday, October 28. The application process is a student's opportunity to tell the story of their legacy of leadership on campus. Applicants will move through five questions that will prompt reflection on their personal development; the impact they have made throughout their time as a student thus far; draw connections between their experiences at FSU to how they hope to make a positive impact beyond campus; and how they envision continuing their relationship with Florida State after graduation.
To qualify as an applicant, students:
- Must be a degree-seeking undergraduate student at Florida State University in their junior or senior year
- Must be in good academic standing
- Must have no outstanding conduct cases
- Must anticipate graduation as soon as May 2023 and no later than December 2024
The deadline to apply to be a part of the 2023 cohort of Torchbearer 100 inductees is Friday, October 28, 2022. For more information and to start the application process, please visit studentaffairs.fsu.edu/torchbearer-100.
