Pilot Tuition Scholarship Program for Dependents

This message has been approved by Kyle Clark, Vice President for Finance & Administration, for distribution to all faculty and staff.
We are pleased to announce that as part of a one-year pilot program, Florida State University is providing dependent children of full-time faculty and staff employees a scholarship opportunity to obtain tuition assistance for an undergraduate education at FSU.
The Office of Human Resources is currently accepting applications and will choose at random from a pool of applicants a limited number of eligible dependent children of qualified faculty members and staff employees to be scholarship recipients for the 2018-2019 academic year.
Scholarship Offerings
For each dependent child selected, the University will provide $630.42 per semester (the equivalent matriculation fee for six undergraduate credit hours) towards the cost of undergraduate tuition for Fall and Spring of the 2018-2019 academic year. Please note, scholarship recipients are responsible for all other fees, including those related to books, supplies, building, capital improvement, student financial aid, activity and service, athletic, health, transportation, etc. In order to receive the scholarship, students must currently be in and maintain good academic standing, as defined by the University Registrar, and be enrolled in a minimum of 15 credit hours for each semester.
Eligibility
Qualified University employees are those full-time faculty and staff who have completed one year of continuous service by August 7, 2018, including faculty members on sabbaticals or on professional development or grants-in-aid leave.
