Karla Kublin Jennings graduated from FSU in 1990 with a degree in communication and a minor in music. She spent the next four years at her dream job, working for the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra. She then entered enemy Gator territory and earned a master's degree in mass communication from the University of Florida. Two more marketing/PR jobs in the private and public sector followed. She now has 15 years teaching public speaking and communication at the College of Coastal Georgia and Georgia Southern University. She is a speaker coach for TEDxSavannah, and she was the opening speaker for their 2018 event with her TED Talk "Designing a Response to Fear of Public Speaking."
