Faculty Luncheon Series Renamed and Rejuvenated

Milton S. Carothers Faculty Lecture Series

This message has been approved by Dr. Janet Kistner, Vice President for Faculty Development and Advancement, for distribution to all faculty and staff.

The FSU Faculty Luncheon Series is the oldest, continuous speaker series at FSU. Featuring FSU faculty research, the series has consistently offered a way for our FSU scholarly community to engage with each other. During our pause in the initial stages of the pandemic, the series got a makeover. The series has been renamed in honor of its founder. It is now the Milton S. Carothers Faculty Lecture Series. It has been relocated to the Robert B. Bradley Reading Room in Strozier Library to situate it more centrally. It is governed by an advisory board and lunch is now provided free of charge.

Make plans to attend the first lecture of this revamped series on Monday, October 18th, at noon. Dr. Neil Charness, William G. Chase Professor of Psychology, and Director, Institute for Successful Longevity, will be discussing “The Promise and Limits of Technology to Promote Successful Longevity.”
