The Program for Instructional Excellence (PIE) offers numerous ways to support FSU Teaching Assistants (TAs), instructional staff and anyone interested in learning about teaching.

PIE Coffee Hour & Teaching Workshop: FSU’s Academic Honor Policy: Processes & Resources

Description: Unclear about what to do when you are grading and run across what looks like plagiarism? What steps do you take when you see a student looking at another student’s exam during the midterm? Join us Tuesday, June 29th, 2-3:30pm to learn about the FSU Academic Honor Policy and how to handle situations like these. In this workshop, an expert will discuss the nuances of this subject and address questions the audience may have regarding the processes and resources involved in preserving integrity in the classroom. Bring your questions!

PIE Community Online Teaching Support Canvas Site
Visit the PIE Program’s Canvas organizational site that serves to provide teaching assistants (TAs) and instructional staff from across campus the opportunity to find peer community and support. Resources include virtual office hours where visitors can connect to PIE Program staff via Zoom to discuss challenges, brainstorm ideas, share tips, and receive referrals to additional resources to assist with teaching. Video tutorials, discipline specific online teaching tips, and links to a variety of resources available at FSU and beyond, are also located on this site.
