Data Carpentry Workshop
This message has been approved by Gale Etschmaier, Dean of FSU Libraries, for distribution to students, faculty and staff.
Florida State University Libraries will host a Data Carpentry workshop for faculty, graduate students, and undergraduate students at FSU. The workshop will take place on June 28 - July 1 from 1:00-5:00 p.m each day. This workshop is focused on the Data Carpentries Genomics lesson. The curriculum is designed for learners of all experience levels, and no prior computational experience is required or assumed. The instructors put a priority on creating a friendly environment to empower researchers and enable data-driven discovery.
The goal of the workshop is to teach not only how to do data analyses, but how to manage the process to make it as reproducible as possible. While the techniques and software taught will benefit learners from many research backgrounds, there will be a focus on utilizing genomics data during this workshop.
Space is limited and will likely fill quickly. This workshop is free and open to the entire Florida State University community. Registration is required for the workshop. Use the code fsu3851 to register.
Information on how to register for the event can be found here. More information about the workshop itself can be found on the workshop webpage.
