FSU is Saying Goodbye to Skype for Business

This message has been approved by, Bobby Sprinkle, Chief Technology Officer, FSU Information Technology Services, for distribution to faculty and staff.
Florida State University will be transitioning from Skype for Business to Microsoft Teams over the coming months to prepare for Microsoft’s end support for the Skype for Business collaboration tool. Microsoft Teams brings increased productivity with its streamlined tools, better collaboration, an enhanced user experience and increased efficiency in communication and response. Skype for Business will no longer be supported for FSU faculty and staff use after December 17, 2020.
Microsoft Teams is an incredibly powerful collaboration tool with a million and one features. Whether you are collaborating with a single person in a private chat, sharing memes with your team or collaborating on a large project with multiple groups, Teams has you covered with its rich chat that included text, audio, video, file sharing and more. Store all of your files, documents in one place, tracking your tasks lists in planner, or sending a gif in celebration, Teams has you covered.
