DIRECTO's 3rd Annual Symposium: Registration Now Open!

Please join us for DIRECTO’s 3rd Annual University-Wide Symposium on Diversity & Inclusion in Research & Teaching Thursday, 9/17, 1-5pm, and Friday, 9/18, 9am-2:30pm, virtually via Zoom. This event is once again free of charge thanks to the generous sponsorship of the FSU’s President’s Council on Diversity and Inclusion, The Office of the Provost & Vice President for Academic Affairs, The FSU Department of Psychology, The Graduate School, the College of Business, and The Congress of Graduate Students (COGS).

Symposium goal
We hope this event will create a safe, and brave-space for individuals and groups within the FSU community to discuss issues surrounding diversity, inclusion, and equity. More importantly, we want attendees and participants to walk away from the event with tangible ways to incorporate diversity and inclusion in their research projects and teaching methods.
Date and Location
The symposium will take place on Thursday, September 17 (1-5pm), and Friday, September 18 (9am-2:30pm), 2020, virtually via Zoom. Feel free to register for the entire event, or only the portions for which you are available to attend. Links for specific Zoom sessions will be emailed to the email address you enter in your registration shortly before the event dates.
Details
The Symposium Welcomes will be given by President John Thrasher, and Provost Dr. Sally McRorie. Keynote speakers are Dr. Derald Wing Sue, and Erin O’Hara O’Connor, Dean of FSU College of Law (see more information on DIRECTO’s website), and breakout and poster sessions will be facilitated by faculty, staff, students, and postdocs from FSU, and the surrounding community.
