Campus Recreation Facilities and Programs: Fall 2020
This message has been approved by Christopher Morris, Director of Campus Recreation, for distribution to students, faculty and staff.
Have you heard the news? Campus Recreation facilities will begin reopening on Monday, August 10th.
As we reopen our facilities and restart our programs, we are prioritizing safety for our students, staff, and community.

𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚 𝐟𝐞𝐰 𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧:
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭. Our facilities have been reworked to accommodate a safe exercise experience through social distancing and touch-free experiences where possible. Patrons should expect limited capacity and amenities. Please help us protect our community by practicing social distancing and following all facility policies and procedures.
𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐤𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝. Following Leon County and Florida State University guidelines, a face mask is required indoors while on campus. Inside, a face mask is required while you are exercising and in common spaces. Outdoors, a face mask is required when social distancing is not possible.
𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐨𝐮𝐭. For our fitness facilities, reservations are required. Sign up through the FSU Rec app or online, with reservations opening 25 hours prior to each workout time period. Walk-ins are not permitted. More information at campusrec.fsu.edu/reserve
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠. A face mask and a water bottle are required at all our facilities, indoors or outdoors. Answer the daily wellness questions ahead of time on the myFSU app or at the door. Bring your phone, and load your FSUCard information into the FSU Rec app to scan in with touchless entry.
𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠. Our facilities are sanitized throughout the day using CDC-recommended cleaning products. The Leach Center and Fitness & Movement Clinic will close periodically during the day for extensive cleanings.

𝐅𝐢𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐬
▪ Fitness facilities will open for distanced exercise. Both the Leach Center and Fitness & Movement Clinic will offer contactless check-in and access by reservation only. Reserve a time to work out on the FSU Rec app or our website.
▪ Group fitness will offer in-person classes and continue online classes via Zoom.
𝐀𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐬
▪ The Leach Center pool will open for distanced exercise. Access by reservation only, reserve a time on the FSU Rec app or our website.
𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐬
▪ Sport programming and facilities will be available. Main campus facilities will open for limited, distanced activities.
▪ Virtual Intramural Sports will be available across various platforms and will include e-sports, sports trivia, and pick-em challenges. Information on In-person Intramural leagues and Sport Club activities will be released later in August.
𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐝𝐨𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐬
▪ The Rez will offer watercraft rentals and socially distanced activities.
▪ Outdoor Pursuits will offer free campus-based excursions from the main campus, and a series of local meet-up excursions in the Tallahassee area at a reduced cost.
▪ Socially distanced Challenge programs will be available for FSU and community groups. Virtual teambuilding via our new online escape room will be available for FSU and community groups.
