National Study on Violence Prevention and Intervention

FSU Seal

This message has been approved by Dr. Amy Hecht, Vice President for Student Affairs, for distribution to all undergraduate students.

Dear FSU Students,

On March 19, all undergraduate students will be invited to participate in a survey as part of a national study on violence prevention and intervention. The Multi College Bystander Education Efficacy (McBEE) survey is funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and administered by the University of Kentucky. We hope you will consider participating; FSU staff and faculty will use the information you provide to improve our prevention efforts to reduce violence on our campus. The well-being, safety, and respect of all members of our FSU community is important to us.

Your participation in this survey is entirely voluntary and your responses will be kept confidential. To participate, you will receive an email from uprevent@uky.edu with a link to the survey. Because we value your input, any student who participates in this survey will be entered in a drawing to win one of twelve $100 Amazon gift cards.

If you have any questions about the survey, please contact Dr. Amy Magnuson at 850-644-3011.

Thank you for your contribution to helping make FSU a safer community.

Amy Hecht, Ed.D.
Vice President for Student Affairs
