Explore a major in Event Management!

The Dedman College of Hospitality is proud to have launched a new major in Event Management! This major allows students to gain hands-on experience in fields such as event planning and coordination, marketing and promotion, budgeting and financial management, and the use of technology in event management. This major could be for you if you are interested in a career in Corporate Event Planning, Event Production & Equipment Management, Event Promotions, Festivals, Tournaments & Sport Events, Trade Shows & Conventions, or Wedding Coordinating!

This is a 43-credit hour major that has no prerequisites or foreign language requirements. Students will gain real-world experience before they graduate through the required 3 credit hours of an internship and at least 1,000 hours of work experience in the event industry.
