This message has been approved by Dr. Granger, Director Office of STEM Teaching Activities, for distribution to students, faculty and staff.
The Office of STEM Teaching Activities (OSTA) is pleased to invite you to attend the 2026 Young Scholars Program Research Symposium. This open poster session will take place on Thursday, July 16, in the Lobby-Atrium of the King Life Sciences Building. Please stop by anytime between 10:00am and 12:00pm to learn about our students’ research and the program.
The Young Scholars Program (YSP) is a six-week, residential science and mathematics summer program for high school students from across Florida with significant potential for careers in the fields of science, technology and engineering. It has been running since 1983. We received over 400 qualified applicants for this year’s 40 positions. The students engage in both academic courses (designed for the program) and research under the mentorship of an FSU STEM faculty sponsor. The research experience culminates in a formal poster session. This event affords the Young Scholars an opportunity to showcase the impressive research they have been conducting under the guidance of their faculty sponsors. Please join us in encouraging these young scientists in their pursuit of STEM careers and in thanking their FSU research mentors.
We would like to acknowledge the following research and academic mentors for sponsoring this year's Young Scholars---THANK YOU!!!
