 FSU Coastal & Marine Lab Open House! Meet scientists, hands-on activities, and food trucks. Saturday April 25, 2026 from 10am-3pm.

Florida State University Coastal & Marine Laboratory (FSUCML) is hosting an open house on Saturday April 25, 2026! Join us for a day of hands-on educational displays, food trucks, a silent auction, and a celebration of scientific knowledge from land to sea.

Our Open House highlights the work of FSU’s scientists and their graduate students, providing a unique opportunity to explore research focused on coastal and marine ecosystems. We’re excited to welcome various public agencies and environmental organizations who will be sharing their work as well. Dr. Dean Grubbs, FSUCML faculty member, will giving a talk about his work with sharks and rays, as well as selling and signing copies of his book Shark Biology and Conservation.

Throughout the day you will have the opportunity to:

  • Check out our shark jaw display
  • Discover everything you want to know about deep-sea corals
  • Explore our research hatchery
  • Bid on exciting items in our silent auction
  • … and so much more!

We are so excited to welcome everyone back to FSUCML. Bring your friends and family and come down to the coast for a day of fun and education for all ages!
