Insomnia: Group-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

This message has been approved by Dr. Thomas Joiner, FSU Psychology Clinic Director
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBTI) is now available at the Florida State University Psychology Clinic for adults age 18 and older who struggle with chronic insomnia—difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep, or waking too early. The group runs on a six week curriculum that teaches the evidence-based strategies for retraining your body clock, quieting racing thoughts at night, and protecting the progress you make so improvements last.
Each cohort meets once a week in the evenings. Groups are “closed” rather than “drop in,” meaning members start and finish together. New participants are welcomed approximately every six to eight weeks at the beginning of a new cycle. Each session costs $12.
The program is led by doctoral trainees in clinical psychology under the supervision of Dr. Therese Kemper. To learn more or place your name on the waitlist, please call the FSU Psychology Clinic at 850-644-3006 or click here for more information.
