The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Florida State University (OLLI at FSU) is dedicated to providing enriching educational experiences for mature adults. As part of our commitment to lifelong learning, we are actively seeking faculty and community experts who are passionate about sharing their knowledge.
Teaching Opportunities: We invite you to consider teaching a short course at OLLI at FSU. These courses typically consist of either three or six lectures related to a central topic. Our students are engaged and eager to learn, making teaching at OLLI a rewarding experience. Courses are held at various locations, including the Pepper Center on the FSU Campus, Westminster Oaks, and other venues within Leon County. We also offer virtual classes via Zoom.
Course Details:
- Duration: Each course spans either three or six weeks.
- Class Format: Non-credit, personal enrichment classes without tests or assigned homework.
- Topics: Our curriculum covers a wide range of subjects, including literature, history, politics, current events, economics, science, writing, music, and more.
Stipend: While teaching at OLLI is a voluntary contribution, we appreciate the value you bring to our community. As a token of our gratitude, we offer a stipend of $150 per 90-minute class period (totaling $450 for a three-week course or $900 for a six-week course).

Our Curriculum Team reviews all proposals before each term, and if your proposal is selected, we will promptly reach out to discuss scheduling.
