Department of Defense Young Investigator Programs
This message has been approved by Beth Hodges, Director of Research Development, for distribution to faculty and staff.
The Department of Defense (DOD) offers four different early career funding opportunities to support tenure-track faculty. These opportunities are designed to foster creativity, enhance early career development, and overall increase opportunities for young investigators within DOD's research program. Join staff from the FSU Division of Research and the Department of Computer Science for a forum focused on DOD's Young Investigator Programs. We'll have ample time for Q&A with an invited panel of past awardees from the Departments of Computer Science, Physics, and Mechanical Engineering. This forum will outline some of the submission guidelines for the following programs:
- Office of Naval Research (ONR) - Young Investigator Program (YIP)
- Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) - Young Investigator Research Program (YIP)
- Army Research Office (ARO) - Early Career Program (ECP) (formally the Young Investigator Research Program (YIP))
- Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Young Faculty Award (YFA)
Register Here for this virtual forum on December 9th from 12:00 - 1:30 PM.
