Florida State University is proud to recognize International Fraud Awareness Week (Fraud Week) from Nov. 17–23, 2024. This week aims to reduce the impact of fraud by educating the public and promoting fraud awareness.
Why is Fraud Week Important? Fraud Week is a global initiative by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, dedicated to raising awareness about the dangers of fraud and promoting proactive prevention measures. Fraud is a serious issue that can have significant financial and personal consequences. Identifying and responding to potential fraud is crucial for protecting yourself and your organization.
What is Fraud? Fraud is a deliberate or willful act or omission intended to obtain an unauthorized benefit, property, services, or something of value through deception, misrepresentation, or other unlawful or unethical means.
Join Us in the Fight Against Fraud! Meet the FSU Office of Audit and Advisory Services (OAAS) at the FSU Student Union on Wednesday, November 20th. Test your knowledge, learn more about fraud prevention, and win fun prizes!
Stay Informed and Vigilant Fraudsters often rely on people’s lack of knowledge. Stay informed and vigilant to avoid falling victim to scams!

OAAS can be reached at (850) 644-6031 or through the Complaint Intake Form on our website at oaas.fsu.edu. The FSU Police Department can be reached at (850) 644-1234 or police.fsu.edu.

To report a potential issue, you can access the hotline toll-free at 855-231-7511 or make a report via the EthicsPoint link on OAAS’ website.
