Children's Mental Health in the Aftermath of Disasters Webinar and Question and Answer Session presented by the FSU College of Social Work and Center for the Study and Promotion of Communities, Families and Children.

The webinar on Friday, February 18th from 10 - 11:30 am highlights the potential short- and long-term disaster effects on a child's functioning, development and health. The webinar provides information on adjustment difficulties, how to promote effective coping strategies and any associated bereavement & secondary stresses. It also highlights the need for government to include the mental health needs of children & their caregivers in disaster planning. After the webinar, there will be a Q&A with the presenters featured below.
