Video Game Intramurals at the Student Union Garnet Gaming Lounge

Registration is opening for the first official season of the Student Union Garnet Gaming Lounge Video Game Intramurals. Students, faculty and staff from FSU, Florida A&M University and Tallahassee State College can compete in League of Legends, Marvel Rivals, Super Smash Bros., Mario Kart 8 or Rocket League through full-semester leagues and short-form tournaments. 

Full-semester leagues are available for League of Legends and Marvel Rivals, while Super Smash Bros., Mario Kart 8 and Rocket League will be offered as short-form tournaments throughout the semester. Participants can choose the games they are interested in and compete individually or as part of a team, depending on the game.

League of Legends and Marvel Rivals and Super Smash Bros. registration opens Thursday, Aug. 27, and closes at midnight Wednesday, Sept. 9. Mario Kart 8 registration opens Wednesday, Sept. 23, and closes at midnight Wednesday, Sept. 30. Rocket League registration opens Wednesday, Oct. 21, and closes at midnight Wednesday, Oct. 28.

All matches will take place in the Garnet Gaming Lounge during operational hours. Participants must have a Discord account to communicate with their teams and receive league information. Individual registration costs are $5 for solo competitions, while team-based leagues cost $25-$30 per team, or about $5 per player.
