University of Choice Presents Don’t dis-my-ability®: A Conversation with Shawn Smith

To celebrate Disability Employment Awareness Month, Florida State University’s University of Choice organization welcomes Shawn Smith, a disability advocate, to discuss his unique story about the complexities of neurodivergence and how he was empowered to succeed. Join University of Choice for this special event on October 17 at 6 p.m. at the FSU Globe.

Shawn Smith M. Ed., CCC, LCT is a counselor and psychotherapist who helps people who are neurodivergent (ADHD, autism, dyslexia and more). He is also the founder and CEO of Don’t dis-my-ability Consultation Services Inc, where he has helped people with neurodivergence thrive.

Smith shared, “Don’t Dis-my-ability; I may not learn in a conventional manner, but this does not mean I cannot learn, only that you have not been able to reach me.”
