This message has been approved by Beth Hodges, Director of Research Development, for distribution to faculty and staff.
Featuring agency representatives and an FSU grant winner, this webinar will bring light to South Arts exciting arts funding programs. South Arts, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, is a nonprofit regional arts organization devoted to supporting and celebrating art in the southern United States. In collaboration with the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and the State Arts Agencies of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee--and with additional support from other donors including the Doris Duke Foundation, Ford Foundation, and Mellon Foundation--South Arts offers a broad array of funding grants and fellowships for artists and arts organizations in the South.
As the talk begins, South Arts agency representatives will discuss the agency's grants and fellowship programs.
Afterward, an FSU professor, Marty Fielding will share on his experience winning a South Arts grant. Mr. Fielding, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Art, was awarded the Presentation Grant in 2022.
Finally, the floor will be opened to the audience for questions and conversation. Audience members are encouraged to bring questions related to their own projects.
