Simulations to Solutions for Children and Families
This message has been approved by David W. Springer, dean of the College of Social Work for distribution to students, faculty and staff.
The thirdĀ Child Welfare Immersive Collaborative Simulation (CWICS) will take place on Friday, March 22. This opportunity is open to all students and staff to practice skills for engaging children and families experiencing trauma. Morning and afternoon times are available. Over four hours, the participants will engage with live characters as a forensic investigation case unfolds. Each participant will play a different professional role on the multidisciplinary team. This is a great opportunity for students to experience working with families. Interested students might come from a variety of backgrounds such as psychology, criminology, anthropology, medicine, nursing, education, counseling, social work, communications, and law. Faculty are welcome to participate or observe.
