Seminole Innovators' Showcase Shark Tank 2023
This message has been approved by Dr. Susan Fiorito, Dean of the Jim Moran College of Entrepreneurship, for distribution to students, faculty and staff.
The Shark Tank is a business pitch competition, sponsored by the Jim Moran College of Entrepreneurship, and is open to all FSU students.
The Shark Tank is part of the Seminole Innovators' Showcase, which takes place at the FSU Innovation Hub on the afternoon of Friday, April 28th. The grand prize is $1,000! More information about the Shark Tank is below.
APPLY HERE IN ORDER TO SECURE YOUR SPOT!
- 3-minute pitch followed by a 5-minute Q&A with the judges (sharks)
- There will be a timekeeper
- Applicants must be at the Innovation Hub Pitch Room from 12:00 - 3:00pm on Friday, April 28th. There will only be time for roughly 15 pitches.
- You will will be called in to pitch based on the order we receive applications (the pitch list will be sent to applicants beforehand)
- There will be signage outside the Pitch Room that shows the pitch order
- If you are not present and ready to go, we will go to the next name on the list. We will not have time to wait for anyone who is not at the Pitch Room when their name is called
- Business pitches will be judged on originality of Idea, Business Plan (Value Proposition), and Potential for Success
- You cannot use a PowerPoint, but can bring handouts, demos, or prototypes of your product
- Don't share any information about your idea that you want to keep confidential - this is an open forum
- Have fun and enjoy listening to the other presenters!
