Save $100 on Your Study Abroad Application Fee
This message has been approved by Dr. Jim Pitts, Director of FSU International Programs, for distribution to students.
SGA is generously covering $100 towards the study abroad application fee for the first 50 applicants in June.
How it works:
-
SGA is funding $100 towards IP application fees. This will cover the full fee for broad curriculum programs, and a partial fee for internships (the remaining balance for internships will be $150)
-
You must be a current FSU student to receive funding
-
You must apply to an FSU IP program by June 30th
-
Only the first 50 eligible applicants will be awarded funding
-
Apply to the program, and when you finish the application, do not pay the application fee
-
The fee will show up on your Student Business Services account, but you can ignore this until you hear from IP about whether you will receive the funding. If unpaid, the fee will be removed after four days.
-
You will receive an automatic email prompting you to pay. Ignore this prompt until you receive a second email about whether you are receiving funding.
-
Only one award per person. If you submit multiple applications, only one fee will be covered.
The fine print:
This funding will cover the application fee for a broad curriculum program and will reduce an internship application fee to $150. FSU International Programs will contact you to let you know if you are awarded this funding. You must be an FSU student to receive the funding.
DO NOT PAY the application fee until International Programs has confirmed whether you will receive the SGA funding. You will receive an automatic email telling you to pay but ignore that prompt until IP sends a second email about whether you are receiving funding. Your account will still show the application fee through Student Business Services, but if you are eligible and if your application is in the first 50 received, $100 of the fee will be covered by the SGA funding.
Note: Only one award per person. If you submit multiple applications, only one fee will be covered.
