2025 Virtual Summer Training Institute on Autism: June 17-19
Featuring FSU’s Dr. David Ledbetter on Tuesday, June 17, 10:00 a.m.–noon. Dr. Ledbetter will present on Genetic Causes of Autism and Related Neurodevelopmental Disorders, explaining how the specific genetic etiology in at least 20% of children with autism impacts brain development and function and can be identified through current clinical genetic testing by exome or genome sequencing. Pediatricians and other physicians play a critical role in advocating for this testing as standard of care for all children with unexplained autism or other developmental disorders.
Also featuring Dr. Ami Klin from Emory University on Tuesday, June 17, 12:45–2:15 p.m. Dr. Klin will present on The Crisis of Access to Early Diagnosis of Autism and Emerging Solutions and will showcase the newly developed and validated eye-tracking-based tool for the diagnosis and assessment of autism, EarliPoint (https://earlitecdx.combeing), being deployed in pediatric offices.
