If your course includes proctored Canvas exams through Honorlock, then the recent change to FSU’s Testing Center services will require an update to the Proctored Exams policy in your course syllabus. You can ensure students have the most current information on testing with Honorlock by using our recommended syllabus language for Honorlock exams.

Updating Your Online Canvas Syllabus

If you are using the online syllabus template from Design Tools in your Canvas course, then you will need to remove your current Proctored Exams block because it will not automatically update to reflect this new syllabus language.

Though action is required now, once you have this new policy block added to your Canvas syllabus, it will automatically update to include the latest version of FSU’s proctored exam policy each time you click the edit button on your course syllabus page in the future. You can rest assured that future changes to the proctored exam policy will be included in your syllabus even if you use the course copy feature to bring your syllabus over from your current course to your future course sites.
