If you have questions about whether grad school is for you or not, how to apply, what programs and schools to consider, Grad School Boot Camp is for you!

This week-long series of events will help you understand every aspect of applying to grad school. See a detailed schedule below about all the week's sessions. All sessions are offered virtually or in person, with limited capacity for in-person seating. All in-person sessions will be held in the Dunlap Student Success Center (100 S. Woodward Ave.).

Monday, October 11 (Room 2201/2)
To Go or Not To Go: Consider Graduate Schools (1 p.m. - 2 p.m. ET)
Students will explore key factors in making the career decision to pursue an advanced degree through graduate or professional school.

Researching Graduate Programs (2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. ET)
Tips for deciding what you are looking for in a graduate program and keeping your research organized.

Why FSU Grad School? (2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. ET)
Interested in continuing your education at FSU? Join the FSU Graduate Enrollment Team to learn more about The Graduate School, student opportunities, and the application process.

Q&A With Graduate School Admission Representatives (3:45 p.m. – 4:45 p.m. ET)
Have questions about the application review process? Meet with the experts! In this Q&A session FSU Grad Reps will be here to field your questions.

How to Get the Best Letter of Rec (1 p.m. - 2 p.m. ET)
Need a letter from a faculty member for Grad school, or that scholarship? Wonder how to go about it? Come to this informative workshop led by the Academic Center for Excellence and learn all you need to know about how to get the BEST letter of recommendation!

Writing a Personal Statement (2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. ET)
An important workshop for any student considering graduate or professional school, applying for scholarships/fellowships, or seeking other kinds of opportunities that require personal statements.  Students will receive tips and strategies for formatting and content creation of effective personal statements.

Funding your Graduate Education (1 p.m. – 2 p.m. ET)
Concerned about how you might afford graduate school? Hear from the Office of Graduate Fellowships and Awards, The Office of Financial Aid and the FSU Graduate School to explore options for funding your graduate education.

GAP Year Options (2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. ET)
Interested in taking a GAP Year before beginning Grad School? Unsure of what to do during this time, join us to hear from Teach for American and City Year to learn about GAP year opportunities and benefits.

Preparing for Grad Fairs (2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. ET)
Tips for navigating in-person and virtual grad fairs, including strategies on what to do before, during, and after meeting with graduate admissions representatives.
