In-Person & Online Skillshop Explores OneNote

This message to all faculty and staff has been approved by Robert J. Fuselier, Director of the Office of Distance Learning.
The Center for the Advancement of Teaching (CAT) and the Office of Distance Learning (ODL) present a March 22 skillshop on using the OneNote Class Notebook in your face-to-face or online classrooms. OneNote is a digital note-taking app that provides a personal and collaborative workspace for users.
In the hands-on session, offered in person and via Zoom, you’ll experience OneNote from both a student and instructor perspective. Learn how OneNote helps with student learning, notetaking, formative assessment, practice and feedback, and even solving math problems. While it is not a replacement for Canvas or graded assignments, OneNote offers a streamlined approach to individual or group in-class activities.
Pedagogical and technological aspects of OneNote will be covered, and you’ll be able to create your own Class Notebook in a personal development site. ODL technical support specialists will be available to help create development sites and provide individual technical assistance.
How to Register
“Teaching with OneNote Class Notebook” is scheduled for Wednesday, March 22, 2023, from 1:00 pm-2:30 pm at the Zimmerman Instruction Room (107A) at Strozier Library or via Zoom. Complete the registration form to reserve your spot for the in-person or online session. In-person seating is limited so register now to be part of a new learning community.
