Opening Nights at FSU presents Sphinx Virtuosi

Sphinx Virtuosi performs at Ruby Diamond Concert Hall on February 26 at 7:30 PM, presented by Opening Nights at FSU. Sponsored by The Louise Ireland Humphrey Excellence Fund in partnership with the FSU College of Music, this dynamic, self-conducted chamber orchestra is the flagship performing ensemble of the Sphinx Organization, the nation’s leading nonprofit dedicated to transforming the arts.

Comprising 18 of the nation’s most accomplished professional string players, Sphinx Virtuosi is redefining classical music through artistic excellence, pioneering programming, and cultural leadership. Recognized for their artistry and commanding presence, The New York Times calls them “top-notch… more essential at this moment than ever,” while The Strad praises their “elegant ascent into the upper ranks of string orchestras.” Their annual Carnegie Hall performances and critically acclaimed debut album, Songs for Our Times (Deutsche Grammophon), have captivated audiences nationwide, showcasing consistently polished and passionate performances.
