Guest speakers and FSU alumni Juan Lebron and Roberto Torres discuss cultural considerations and community engagement strategies that can be utilized when working with Latin and Hispanic communities, families, and individuals using the theme of Nuestra Historia or "Our Story." Join us for this virtual event from 1:30 to 2:30 pm. on Oct. 9.

Presenters:

Dr. Juan Lebron is an FSU College of Social Work alumnus (MSW 1998, BS 1997) with a doctoral degree in educational leadership from Sam Houston State College and a post-graduate degree in counseling from Florida Atlantic University. He is the acting dean of instruction in the Business & Social Sciences Division of Lone Star College (LSC) and has been a member of the LSC-Montgomery counseling team for 13 years.

Mr. Roberto Torres is an FSU College of Business alumnus (BS 2005), along with a degree in entrepreneurial and small business operations from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. He is the president of The Blind Tiger Coffee Roasters and the president of Black & Denim Apparel Company.
