Nominate a student for Student Employee of the Year awards

Faculty and staff are invited to submit nominations to highlight student employees' excellence through the Student Employee of the Year (SEOTY) award program. The SEOTY award ceremony is hosted by the FSU Career Center and seeks to recognize Florida State’s outstanding student employees for their contributions to the university. Nominations are open January 12 through February 6.

All nominees are considered for the following Awards:
•    Torch Award (Equity & Inclusion Champion) | Scholarship: $200
•    Vires Award (Initiative Category) | Scholarship: $200
•    Artes Award (Critical Thinking Category) | Scholarship: $200
•    Mores Award (Professionalism Category) | Scholarship: $200
•    Tony DiBenedetto Undergraduate Student Employee of the Year Award (Overall Winner) | Scholarship: $500
•    Tony DiBenedetto Graduate Student Employee of the Year Award (Overall Winner) | Scholarship: $500

Following guidelines from the National Association of Student Employment, our nomination form has been updated to a letter format including prompts asking nominators to include how your nominees display different NACE career readiness competencies.  

Nominate your student by February 6, 2022.

Nominated student employees are formally recognized during National Student Employee Week celebrated the second week in April. For additional information, nomination criteria, and sample nominations, visit career.fsu.edu/seoty.
