National Disability Awareness Month Panel Discussion: Access and Inclusion at FSU
This message has been approved by Renisha Gibbs, Associate Vice President for Human Resources and Finance & Administration Chief of Staff.
National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), observed each year in October, honors the myriad of contributions of people with disabilities to the economy and workplace. The NDEAM 2021 theme is “America’s Recovery: Powered by Inclusion,” which emphasizes the importance of establishing equitable access to employment and community involvement for individuals with disabilities.
Congruent with this theme, the Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Office is hosting a panel discussion focused on the experiences of FSU community members with disabilities as well as conversations about facilitating access through the reasonable accommodation process. We will hear directly from both an employee and a student regarding disability awareness and inclusion. We will also hear from Amber Wagner, ADA Coordinator, and Dr. Shelley Ducatt, Director of Student Support and Transitions, regarding faculty, staff, and student accommodations. We invite you to attend the event and bring questions for the panelists.
Please click the registration link to register for the Disability Inclusion Panel Discussion on October 26 from 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. The discussion will be held via zoom.
