FSU Information Technology Services (ITS) rolled out a new email security measure to help prevent email spoofing from myFSU email accounts. Spoofing is a scam technique that forges the FROM address of an email address message to appear to be from an FSU sender. The new security measure verifies messages sent are from an authentic myFSU email. This will help reduce the number of phishing emails sent to FSU students.

Access to your myFSU email will now be limited to Office 365 approved applications, such as the Outlook app. This means you will no longer be able to send from your myFSU email through a third-party service such as Mailchimp and Constant Contact. If you send and receive emails through your myFSU approve email applications, you won’t notice a change.
