Beginning to think about spring break plans? How about joining Florida State Alternative Breaks for a week of service, fun, and unforgettable memories? FSAB member applications are open year-round at thecenter.fsu.edu/FSAB.

Additionally, FSAB is looking for ambitious student leaders to help facilitate spring break service experiences. Facilitator applications for spring 2022 trips are due Saturday, Dec. 11. In order to apply, potential facilitators must first complete the service leadership facilitator development program, available through the program’s open-enrollment Canvas page. The program is fully online, self-paced, and can be completed within a weekend. Facilitator applications are also located within the program Canvas page.

FSAB facilitators can either choose to design their own alternative break around a specific issue (with the support of program staff) or host a pre-designed break. Facilitators receive a $100 discount from the full week-long program cost of $300, which is due in February. Non-facilitator participants will be selected the week prior to Feb. 11, 2022. Questions can be directed to the FSAB staff coordinator, David Bateman-Schieler, at dschieler@fsu.edu.
