Join Club Downunder, the Student Government Association, and FSU’s Department of Student Engagement for Florida State University’s third annual Met Gala: Interlocking Art, a Multi-Medium Gala featuring Diverse World Fashion Magazine, Magnify and the Jim Moran College of Entrepreneurship.
March 1st, 2026
6-9 p.m.
Student Union Ballrooms
Interlocking Art (IA) is a celebration of the arts that explores the way a myriad of art mediums can intertwine and interact, combining performance art, sound art, visual art, projection art, dance, short films, and more. The multi-medium gala will begin with a student-developed art exhibit, where we’ll be displaying art pieces ranging from projections, sculpture, paintings, photography, and more! The exhibit will also feature a performance by FSU Jazz Combo Sarah Langdon and Blake Dwelle. It will be followed by a student-designed runway show, which showcases the importance of fashion featuring a performance by local band, Phabrik (@phabriktheband). The fashion and styling are led by Diverse World Fashion Magazine, Stitch, and Thrift Club, who dressed their models in their own interpretation of the theme.
This year’s theme is A Generated Era: How Authenticity Transcends Imitation. Your interpretation of the theme is highly valued as dressing for the theme is encouraged. You will be able to showcase your look on our red carpet entrance and have your photo taken by paparazzi in front of our IA backdrop!
The gala will have hors d'oeuvres and mocktails for you to enjoy. We hope to see you there! This event is free for all.
