Dance Marathon at FSU is thrilled to announce the return of our annual fall fundraising push, Florida Statement 2025, and we need you to help us achieve our goal of making an impact that is truly More Than Medicine.
Statement is a powerful 26.2-hour marathon where the FSU campus unites with the local community to raise crucial funds for our local Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospital, UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital and the FSU College of Medicine Pediatric Outreach Program.
Our Mission: More Than Medicine
This year, our theme is More Than Medicine, which highlights the vital resources that CMN funds outside of direct medical care. These essential programs bring joy, comfort, and a sense of normalcy to children and families during their hardest times.
Our fundraising directly supports:

• Child Life Specialists: Helping kids understand and cope with procedures through play and education to reduce fear.
• Arts and Medicine: Providing creative outlets for emotional healing, like painting the hospital’s ceiling tiles.
• Bereavement Programs: Offering compassionate support to families navigating loss.

These programs are just as crucial as the medical care itself, proving that our purpose is truly for More Than Medicine!
The Goal: $315,000
This year, we are aiming to raise $315,000 in honor of the 1,500+ ceiling tiles painted by patients through the Arts and Medicine program at UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital. Every dollar helps keep these life-changing programs running!

Wednesday, November 5th

• 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM, SSB Hub, Games, crafts, merchandise, and incredible challenges from our Miracle Families! The Fundraising Development team will be on hand to help you boost your goal.
• 5:00 - 6:00 PM, GONG ON TOUR!, The Gong, the heartbeat of DM at FSU, is traveling! Catch the Morale team as the Gong tours chapter facilities for fundraising celebrations. Check our Instagram (@dmfsu) for more details! The tour ends at Wescott at 5:50 PM!
• 7:30 PM, HCB, Comma Club Ceremony; Join us to celebrate all the dedicated participants who have raised $1,000 or more this year so far!
• 8:00 - 10:00 PM, HCB, Statement After Dark! Our night programming includes Rave with Riley (Silent Disco!), Trivia, and more. Come ready to party and rave!

Thursday, November 6th

• 8:00 AM, Integration Statue, Marshal’s Story; Kick off the final morning by hearing Marshal’s story. We will take a moment to remember him before heading to Landis to celebrate his incredible legacy.
• 9:00 - 11:12 AM, Landis Green, Grab Donuts and come join us for Make Your Statement!
• 12:00 PM, Landis Hall, Reveal; Don't miss the final reveal of our 26.2-hour fundraising total!
