Intro to Podcasting Series

Intro to Podcasting: Audio Recording

This message has been approved by Danielle Humphrey, Assistant Director of Media, Communications, and Marketing

Join FSU Libraries and GEOSET at the Dirac Science Library for a comprehensive two-part workshop series designed to take you through the entire podcasting process. This introductory series is open to all FSU faculty, staff, and students, providing the essential skills needed to plan, record, and polish your own audio projects using university resources.

The first session (Thursday, April 2) focuses on pre-production and the technical aspects of capturing high-quality audio, covering podcast ideation, workflow development, and recording techniques. The second session (Thursday, April 9) transitions into post-production, where participants will learn to use Audacity for multi-track editing, noise correction, mixing, and the application of music and sound effects. While personal laptops are not required, they are recommended for those who wish to install the software and follow along with the editing demonstrations.
