Interlocking Art: A Multi-Medium Gala

Interlocking Art, A Multi-Medium Gala

Dr. Felicia D. Williams, Director for Student Engagement

You’re invited! Join Club Downunder, the Student Government Association, and FSU’s Department of Student Engagement for Florida State University’s very own Met Gala: Interlocking Art, a Multi-Medium Gala featuring Diverse World Fashion Magazine, Stitch, and Thrift Club at 6 P.M. on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 in the Student Union Ballrooms.

Interlocking Art (IA) is a celebration of the arts that will begin with a student-developed art exhibit, displaying art pieces ranging from projections, sculptures, paintings, photography, and more! The exhibit will also feature a performance by FSU Jazz Combo Sarah Langdon (@sarah.langdon.music) and (@blake.dwelle). It will be followed by a student-designed runway show, which showcases the importance of fashion as a medium based on this year’s theme and will feature a performance by local band Phabrik (@phabriktheband).

This year’s theme is Masculinity & Femininity: An Intertwining Facade. Dress in your interpretation of the theme or in formal attire. You will be able to showcase your look on our red carpet entrance and have your photo taken by paparazzi in front of our IA backdrop! The gala will also have hors d'oeuvres and mocktails for you to enjoy. This event is free for all.

Dress up and come show your appreciation for the arts with us! See you on the red carpet!
